Hi

My news widget has suddenly stopped responding. When I click on the story nothing happens. It updates fine. I have to go into the actual News App to get it to work. I subscribe to BBC News. Other subscription services work fine, and the BBC News in small mode works, but BBC News in full page style doesn't. Its wierd. Worked fine up to now.

I've tried undocking the widget and re-attaching it but no good. Is this a temporary glitch - ie a problem with the BBC? Should I re-boot my device?

Thanks

Hi - did you get any solution to this issue? I have the same problem, and from the date of your posting it looks to have started around the same time too. Coincidence?

Anyone else have any ideas?
Cheers,
Richard

Nope, still not got it working. Wierd. And mildly frustrating too. You get the feeling that the Android OS is so sensitive, I'm afraid to tinker around with it too much. I simply can't afford to lose the info contained on my phone.

Wasn't life simpler back in the old days when mobile phones were just phones? OK, sure, they were clunky and couldn't do much, but you could drop it down the toilet & it would still work. These things, one sneeze and you're whole life is gone.

Hi - I did actually resolve this. What worked for me was unsubscribing to the News feed (BBC in my case) and then re-subscribing to it. Removing the widget then re-adding doesn't do the trick, but removing the subscription worked for me. I had to do it about a week later again for some reason, bit so far its working ok.

If you haven't tried it, give it a go...

Cheers!
