hi im new to all this smart phone stuff :-[ i have just picked up mr htc wildfire and i have set the alarm but i does not work when the phone is switched off i dont like leaving my phone on all night anyone know how to sort this out ???

i keep mine on but still it won't ring!!! i'm pissed by this as i already missed an exam because i woke up 1 hour late x( as far as i tested it seem it only rings when the screen is on as well. my old sony-ericsson ringed even when it was turned off, not only when it was in stand by.

@HTP Wildfire: Do you still have this problem? This alarm issue happened to me too and I solved it by putting the Clock application in the ignore list on my auto killer application. Hope this helps somebody.

put on "Airplane mode", alarm works and battery not consuming too much
